Chin-ups are arguably the best upper body resistance exercise around. There is no other exercise that can replace its functional value; and no, the lat pull down is a not a suitable replacement. Not only do chins build the back and biceps, the abdominals, chest and grip get a workout as well.

A chin-up bar in a gym is also a highly useful fixture, given that it can also be used as an anchor for rings, bands or a TRX.

The AmStaff Fitness Chin Up Bar itself is bolted flush to the support brackets so there is no play or movement, just a solid fixture that will take any weight up to 400kg!

33" out from the wall to provide plenty of room for kipping for even the biggest people, and is made with a diamond knurling which looks tough, resists abuse and ensures a good grip.

Specifications
- 33" from wall
- Monkey Style Multi-Grip Chin Up Bar
- Great for CrossFit
- 48" Wide (Mounting holes are 48" apart)
- 20" Verticle wall attach bracket
- Diamond knurling
- 6 bolts supplied with each cell. Installation of bolts require a masonry drill-bit and socket.

AmStaff Fitness or Fitness Avenue is not responsible for the integrity of the installation. Seek advice from the appropriate professionals as to the structural strength of the wall you are assembling to. Failure to install correctly could result in serious injury!

"I installed this in our home gym. It is sturdy, and the hashed grips are nice. I was going to install the grips upside down so it angled down vs up, but there are incomplete welds (by design) there still strong, just not that appealing to look at.

I used 1/2” x 2.5” lag bolts to install into 2x4 stud. I could of went with 3”, maybe it would of been better as I had 1/2” drywall and 3/16” support bracket.

I am 265 lbs and I am confident this will hold me.

I also purchased for use with TRX, two systems on either corner.

To install in wood wall, find the Center of the studs spaced 4’ apart, pencil mark these for a few feet down spaced every foot or so. Mark the height down from the ceiling (I used 10” to the top of the bracket). Draw a line using a level from top to bottom of your Center marks. Place your support on the wall, line up the top line (10” from ceiling) position and Center the holes over the line you drew and mark them with a pencil. Pre-drill those holes 3/16” bit (any size would be ok). Line up your bracket and insert your first lag bolt with washer into hole, tighten leaving enough room for adjustment; repeat for other holes and the next bracket on the other stud four feet away. Follow the instructions and place the outside support plates with bolt on each end of the bracket, assemble bar to support brackets. Tight the wall lag bolts working your way top to bottom. Go back and snug everything up once again.

    Hope that helps someone install."

I know that they claim it is not for outdoor use but I have bought it for that purpose. Very heavy duty so if putting it up indoors, would best suit basement area.

Numerous handle positions. Only note - wish it was a bit wider for easier Monkey bar use.
